THE FIRST KISS

I was at the window
Looking at the sky
When u came knocking
Just to say hi

Asking you to sit
I invite you in
You look at me and smile
That dimpled boyish grin

We sit like strangers
Our thoughts exposed
Though only yesterday it was
That u had proposed

We are sitting on the bed
With a lot of distance and gap
You suddenly cover it up
Seating me on your lap

As I try to move away
U r quickly on top
Your face an inch away
And my heart set to stop

As you come near
My heartbeat amiss
Your lips are on mine
The first time we kissed
