This poem is very close to my heart ....
Its content is not from some experience or inspired ....
Even now i wonder how i wrote such an intense poem but no answer...
Every time we hear a poem about a soldier but what about the people he leaves behind...
This poem is about a newly wed bride who awaits her warrior her soldier hr husband to come back and he does comeback .....UNFORTUNATELY!!!!!!!!!

THE SOLDIER'S WIFE

Please come back
When the sun drowns
Please come back
When it’s gone

You have gone for long now
Please come back now its dawn.
You made me wait till dawn
Please come now it is morn,

It will be dark soon,
Pls do come its only noon.
The night crawls in
And the day is up

You come to me
And the time is stopped
U dont come alone
But are brought by four

And they say sorry
Couldn’t save him anymore

I wanna cry badly
But it just doesn't come
Coz some killed u
And u killed some

It’s really not easy, u said,
To be a soldiers wife
Coz death and waiting
Is a part of your life.
